Block Configurator 2.0

As a Senior Product Designer at Block Renovation, I led design on the Configurator 2.0 project, which aimed to provide homeowners with a tool to visualize their future spaces during the kitchen and bathroom renovation process. The project earned the “2.0” name because it had been attempted by Block previously, but ultimately the team decided to sunset it because it didn’t offer the level of fidelity that homeowners wanted to see.

My discovery research for this new version of the Configurator was extremely encouraging, but our metrics post-launch did not meet expectations. My role then shifted to propose and design improvements to meet our goals based on my extensive earlier research and testing.
